'Uteki' is the first teaser from beat-master FloFilz’s upcoming project, accompanied by UK jazz producer and composer Alfa Mist. Exposed to music from a young age, FloFilz grew up in Belgium before moving to Aachen, Germany where he studied the violin and classical music, while also playing in orchestras. The self-taught bedroom beat-maker has steadily built his reputation over the years. Marking his first release since his EP Two For Mistake in 2020, Alfa Mist provides a virtuous mix of piano and rhodes coupled with FloFilz’s mellow violin forming a sultry blend of Contemporary Jazz and Hip-Hop. The result is a silky tune with a heavy groove held down by the drums, bouncing bass and Alfa Mist's rhythmic playing. FloFilz adds that the track includes 'a spontaneous piano solo by Alfa and a switch to a slow outro which I recorded some violin for. Hope you'll dig it!'. -Ellie Rose-Davies
